About the Role
As a Systems Engineer at CommScope, you will be the vital technical bridge between our customers in the Middle East region and our internal engineering teams. You won’t just be behind a desk; you will be an integral member of the sales organization, helping to represent our cutting-edge solutions to enterprise clients and hyperscale data center operators.
You will provide both pre-sales and post-sales engineering support, ensuring that our clients not only choose the right solution but also implement it successfully. This role requires a blend of deep technical expertise in data center infrastructure and the charisma to deliver compelling presentations to clients in Dubai’s competitive market.
How You Will Help Us Connect the World
In this role, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Technical Sales Support: Partner with sales and marketing teams throughout the entire sales cycle. This includes traveling to customer sites across the GCC to provide specialized technical expertise and represent CommScope’s solutions.
- Solution Design & Advocacy: Create and update technical presentations and design guides for end-users and consultants to drive adoption of CommScope’s Data Center solutions in the Middle East.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as the primary liaison between hyperscale customers and our internal engineering and manufacturing teams. You will ensure timely communication and resolution of technical requests.
- Training & Enablement: Develop and deliver training programs for installation partners and end-users across the region to ensure best practices and adherence to CommScope guidelines.
- Quality Assurance: Develop on-site warranty certification documentation to verify that installations comply with CommScope’s stringent global guidelines.
What We Are Looking For
To be successful in this role, you need a strong foundation in telecommunications infrastructure and a proactive attitude.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience: 8+ years of relevant experience (10+ preferred) in structured cabling design and installation for mid-to-large data centers.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong knowledge of Data Center functional areas (MDA, HDA, EDA, ZDA, EF) and familiarity with industry standards like ANSI/TIA 568 and ISO 11801.
- Regional Experience: Previous experience working with clients in the Middle East or a strong understanding of the regional data center market is highly preferred.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Travel: Willingness to travel within the GCC region up to 30%.
Preferred Qualifications (Bonus Points):
- Certifications: BICSI RCDD, BICSI DCDC, or other data center design credentials.
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Telecommunications, or Computer Science.
- Systems Understanding: Solid understanding of LAN/WAN systems and physical media requirements.
