We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Radiographer (MRI/CT Technologist) to join our diagnostic imaging department in a leading healthcare facility in Dubai .

In this critical role, you will perform MRI and CT scans, prepare patients for procedures, and ensure that every image meets the highest standards for diagnostic accuracy. You will work closely with radiologists and referring physicians to support accurate diagnoses and optimal patient outcomes .

Key Responsibilities

Imaging Procedures:

Perform high-quality MRI and CT scans according to physician orders and established protocols .
Position patients correctly and provide clear instructions to ensure optimal image capture .
Select appropriate imaging parameters and adjust techniques based on patient anatomy and clinical indications .
Administer contrast media intravenously as directed, following strict safety protocols and monitoring for adverse reactions .
Review images for quality, clarity, and diagnostic value, repeating scans as necessary .

Patient Care & Safety:

Explain imaging procedures to patients, addressing any questions or concerns to reduce anxiety .
Screen patients thoroughly for contraindications to MRI (e.g., pacemakers, implants, pregnancy) and CT (e.g., allergies to contrast) .
Ensure patient safety throughout procedures, monitoring for distress or adverse reactions .
Maintain a compassionate and professional demeanor, particularly with patients who may be anxious or in pain .

Equipment & Quality Assurance:

Operate MRI and CT equipment safely and efficiently, following manufacturer guidelines .
Perform regular quality control checks on imaging equipment and report any malfunctions promptly .
Maintain a clean and organized imaging suite, ensuring all supplies are stocked .
Participate in ongoing quality assurance and radiation safety programs .

Documentation & Collaboration:

Maintain accurate patient records and imaging logs in the Radiology Information System (RIS) and PACS .
Collaborate closely with radiologists to ensure images meet diagnostic requirements .
Communicate effectively with referring physicians and nursing staff regarding patient preparation and scheduling .
Adhere to all radiation safety protocols and DHA regulatory requirements .

Qualifications & Requirements

Education & Licensure:

Bachelor’s degree in Radiography, Medical Imaging, or a related field from an accredited institution .
Valid DHA License or DHA Eligibility Letter as a Radiographer/Medical Imaging Technologist is mandatory .
Additional certification in MRI and/or CT imaging is highly preferred .

Experience:

Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a Radiographer, with significant hands-on experience in both MRI and CT scanning .
Experience in a hospital or advanced diagnostic imaging center is preferred .

Skills & Attributes:

Strong technical proficiency in MRI and CT equipment and protocols .
Excellent knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and its correlation to imaging findings .
Experience with contrast administration and monitoring for adverse reactions .
Proficiency with PACS and RIS systems .
Strong patient care skills with a compassionate, reassuring approach .
Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality diagnostic images .
Fluency in English (spoken and written). Arabic language skills are a strong advantage .
