
A leading financial services organization in Dubai is seeking an experienced Application Support Specialist with expertise in the Advent platform and capital markets technology. This is a 1-year extendable outsourced contract role, ideal for a professional skilled in production support, troubleshooting, and wealth management workflows.

About the Role:
You will be responsible for providing high-level application support within a wealth management and trading environment, ensuring system stability, performance, and seamless operation of critical platforms including Advent, SAXO, and FINIQ. This role combines technical expertise with deep financial domain knowledge.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide production support for financial applications within an ITIL framework, resolving tickets within SLA.
- Perform application troubleshooting, configuration, maintenance, performance tuning, and optimization.
- Manage and maintain workflow configurations and support trade lifecycle processes.
- Proactively monitor systems, analyze incidents, and implement preventive measures.
- Handle interface-related issues with middleware systems (TIBCO, Open API, Microservices).
- Support portfolio management, collateral management (Pledge/Unpledge), and limit monitoring (LTV, Haircut, Margin Calls).
- Utilize strong SQL (Oracle PL/SQL, MSSQL) skills for data querying, reporting, and issue resolution.
- Support .NET application frameworks and execute basic Unix commands for environment checks.
- Maintain knowledge of market data and application licensing.
- Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and business teams to ensure seamless operations.
Required Experience & Skills:
- Minimum 5+ years in application production support, preferably within wealth management, asset management, or banking.
- Experience supporting Advent, SAXO, or FINIQ platforms is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of 5 asset classes: Equities, Fixed Income, Funds, ETFs, Structured Products.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle PL/SQL, MSSQL, .NET framework, and Unix/Linux.
- Understanding of middleware and interfaces (TIBCO, Open API, Microservices).
- Familiarity with collateral management, trade lifecycle, and limit monitoring concepts.
- Experience with open-source components and databases like MongoDB, Hive, PostgreSQL is advantageous.
- ITIL certification or proven experience working within ITIL practices.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, or related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a 24/7 support environment within financial markets.
- Knowledge of scripting (Python, Shell) for automation.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) is a plus.
- Professional certification in finance or technology (e.g., CFA, ITIL).
