A leading organization in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE is seeking an experienced Senior Middleware Developer to join a critical integration project on a 6-month contract basis, with strong potential for extension. About the Role:
You will be the technical expert responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining middleware and API integrations that connect SAP and other enterprise systems. This hands-on role requires deep proficiency in integration platforms and protocols to ensure seamless data flow and system interoperability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain complex middleware solutions and APIs to integrate SAP with other internal and external systems.
- Lead integration projects involving SAP PI/PO, SAP CPI, or similar platforms (e.g., MuleSoft, Apache Camel).
- Develop and optimize RESTful and SOAP APIs, ensuring reliability, security, and performance.
- Implement and manage integration protocols and data formats (JSON, XML, HTTPS, OData, IDoc).
- Configure API gateways and implement security protocols (OAuth 2.0, JWT).
- Utilize message queues for asynchronous integration patterns and ensure fault-tolerant data exchange.
- Collaborate with SAP functional consultants, architects, and other development teams to deliver end-to-end integration solutions.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for integration designs and processes.
Required Experience & Skills:
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in middleware development, API development, and enterprise integration.
- Proven experience working on SAP integration projects is essential.
- Strong proficiency in designing and developing RESTful and SOAP APIs.
- Solid hands-on experience with integration platforms and middleware tools such as SAP PI/PO, SAP CPI, MuleSoft, or Apache Camel.
- In-depth familiarity with data formats (JSON, XML) and integration protocols (HTTPS, OData, IDoc).
- Practical experience with API gateways, authentication (OAuth 2.0, JWT), and message queues.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- SAP certification in Integration (PI/PO or CPI).
- Experience with cloud integration platforms (Azure Integration Services, AWS App Integration).
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines for integration deployments.
- Experience working within the UAE or GCC region.
