Job Description
We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Reservation Agent to join our dynamic Front Office team. Reporting directly to the Cluster Reservation Manager, you will play a key role in maximizing room revenue and delivering exceptional service from the very first guest contact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understand and apply key FRHI Pricing Strategies and Revenue Management principles.
- Handle comprehensive reservation management, including managing room blocks, chasing rooming lists from the Sales team and clients, and managing group inventory, rates, and billing instructions.
- Maintain a strong understanding of Groups Management procedures, including cut-off dates and booking policies.
- Maximize rooms revenue by converting telephone and electronic inquiries into confirmed sales.
- Utilize effective upselling techniques to recommend room categories and hotel facilities.
- Execute revenue management strategies and sell directed rates based on available inventory.
- Ensure all reservations are accurate and meet the hotel’s high standards for guest satisfaction.
- Achieve full proficiency in current and new systems, including Opera PMS/S&C, and support property PMS conversions as needed.
- Be fully conversant with all market segments, rate plans, and distribution channels.
- Support the Cluster Reservation Manager with ad-hoc projects and consistently follow departmental policies and service standards.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a Reservation or Royal Service role within the hospitality industry is required.
- Hands-on experience with the Opera Property Management System (PMS) is required.
- Fluency in both verbal and written English and Arabic is required.
- Must be computer literate in Microsoft Windows applications.
- Luxury hotel sales experience with exposure to varied market segments is a strong advantage.
