Key Responsibilities
As an IT Project Manager in Dubai, you will be accountable for the entire project lifecycle from initiation to closure.
1. Project Planning & Execution:
- First, you will define project scope, goals, deliverables, and detailed work plans in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
- Furthermore, you will lead the execution of projects using methodologies like Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Consequently, you will allocate resources effectively and manage day-to-day project activities to keep initiatives on track.
2. Team & Stakeholder Management:
- You will assemble and motivate project teams, providing clear direction and support to internal staff and third-party vendors.
- Additionally, you will act as the primary point of contact, managing communication with all stakeholders and providing regular progress reports.
- Moreover, you will proactively manage risks, issues, and changes to project scope, ensuring minimal disruption.
3. Governance & Delivery:
- You will control project budgets, monitor expenditures, and ensure cost-effectiveness.
- You will also establish quality standards and ensure final deliverables meet required specifications and business needs.
- Finally, you will conduct post-project evaluations to identify successes and areas for improvement.
Requirements & Skills
To excel as our IT Project Manager, you must combine technical knowledge with strong leadership and formal methodology expertise.
Essential Experience & Credentials:
- A minimum of 7 years in IT, with 5 years of hands-on project management experience leading software development, infrastructure, or digital transformation projects.
- A recognized project management certification such as PMP (PMI), PRINCE2, or Agile/Scrum Master is mandatory.
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; a Master’s degree is a plus.
- Solid technical background with understanding of software development, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), and IT infrastructure.
Critical Leadership Competencies:
- Exceptional Communication: Outstanding skills in presenting to both technical teams and executive stakeholders. Fluency in English is required.
- Strategic & Financial Acumen: You can manage budgets upwards of AED 1M and align projects with strategic goals.
- Problem-Solving & Negotiation: You resolve conflicts and remove obstacles to keep projects on course.
- Vendor Management: Experience in managing contracts and relationships with external suppliers and consultants.
