Key Responsibilities
Cloud Architecture & Deployment:
- Design and implement scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant cloud infrastructure on AWS or Azure .
- Deploy and manage virtual networks, compute instances, storage solutions, and databases in the cloud .
- Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates .
- Architect solutions for disaster recovery, backup, and business continuity .
Cloud Operations & Optimization:
- Monitor cloud infrastructure performance, availability, and cost using native tools and third-party solutions .
- Optimize cloud resource utilization to balance performance with cost efficiency .
- Implement auto-scaling and load balancing to handle variable workloads .
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues in production environments .
Security & Compliance:
- Implement cloud security best practices, including identity and access management (IAM), network security groups, and encryption .
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements .
- Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans of cloud infrastructure .
- Manage secrets, certificates, and secure configuration across cloud environments .
DevOps Collaboration:
- Work closely with development teams to support CI/CD pipelines and application deployment .
- Implement containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes (EKS, AKS) .
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management .
Qualifications & Requirements
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field .
- Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in IT infrastructure, with at least 3 years focused on cloud engineering .
Technical Skills:
- Deep expertise in one major cloud platform (AWS or Azure) with working knowledge of the other .
- Strong experience with infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM) .
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, Bash, or PowerShell .
- Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes, ECS, AKS) .
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions) .
- Understanding of networking concepts including VPCs, subnets, routing, and VPNs .
Certifications (Highly Preferred):
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional) or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert .
