Key Responsibilities
As the Logistics Manager in Dubai, you will have full accountability for the performance and strategy of our logistics division.
1. Strategic Operations & Planning:
- First, you will design and implement comprehensive logistics strategies to optimize the supply chain from procurement to distribution.
- Furthermore, you will manage budgets, analyze costs, and implement solutions to improve profitability and service levels.
- Consequently, you will ensure all operations adhere to company policies, safety standards, and UAE regulatory requirements.
2. Team & Vendor Leadership:
- You will lead, mentor, and develop a team of logistics coordinators, supervisors, and warehouse staff.
- Additionally, you will manage relationships with key vendors, carriers, and third-party logistics (3PL) partners, negotiating contracts and rates.
- Moreover, you will resolve high-level operational issues and escalate critical challenges with strategic solutions.
3. Performance & Process Optimization:
- You will oversee warehouse management, inventory control, and transportation routing to maximize efficiency.
- You will also utilize logistics software and KPIs to monitor performance, generate reports, and drive continuous improvement.
- Finally, you will ensure the seamless integration of logistics activities with sales, procurement, and customer service departments.
Requirements & Skills
The Logistics Manager we need must combine deep industry knowledge with decisive leadership.
Essential Experience & Credentials:
- A minimum of 8 years in logistics operations, with 5+ years in a senior managerial role, preferably within the UAE/GCC region.
- Expert knowledge of local and regional freight corridors, customs clearance, and warehouse management.
- A bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration; a master’s or professional certification (e.g., CSCP) is a strong advantage.
- Proven experience with logistics software (ERP/WMS/TMS) and advanced skills in data analysis and reporting.
Critical Leadership Competencies:
- Exceptional Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead large teams and manage complex vendor relationships.
- Strategic & Financial Acumen: Strong ability to manage budgets, reduce costs, and develop long-term strategies.
- Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical skills to troubleshoot operational disruptions and implement effective solutions.
- Communication: Outstanding verbal and written English skills. Proficiency in Arabic is highly beneficial.
