Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Software Developer at Star Services in Dubai, you will take ownership of critical software platforms and lead technical initiatives.
1. Platform Maintenance & Enhancement:
- First, you will maintain and enhance existing software platforms, including the VSRM/PoolCar system and its components, ensuring optimal performance and reliability .
- Furthermore, you will analyze system requirements and translate them into comprehensive technical specifications for development teams .
- Consequently, you will monitor application performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to maintain high system availability .
2. New Development & Technical Leadership:
- You will design, develop, test, and deploy new software solutions using modern tech stacks and best practices .
- Additionally, you will lead and mentor junior developers, conducting code reviews and promoting engineering best practices across the team .
- Moreover, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams including UI/UX designers, DevOps engineers, and QA professionals to deliver integrated solutions .
3. Architecture & Integration:
- You will ensure code quality through rigorous unit testing, adherence to coding standards, and implementation of robust engineering practices .
- You will also integrate third-party APIs and services such as Google Maps API, Firebase, and NOLS API to extend platform capabilities .
- Finally, you will document software architecture, development processes, and user guides to maintain knowledge continuity .
Technical Skills Required
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong proficiency across the following areas:
Frontend Development:
- Modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue.js)
- Responsive web design principles
- UI/UX collaboration experience
Backend Development:
- Proficiency in at least one modern object-oriented language such as Java, C#, C++, Golang, or Kotlin
- Experience with Java Spring framework is highly desirable
- RESTful API design and implementation
DevOps & Tools:
- Version control systems (Git)
- Container technology including Docker and Kubernetes
- Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform)
- CI/CD pipelines and build processes
APIs & Integrations:
