We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Modeler for a fully remote, 12-month extendable contract. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with deep expertise in enterprise data modeling, governance, and architecture, ready to contribute to large-scale data initiatives from anywhere in the world.

About the Role:
You will lead data modeling efforts across the enterprise, designing robust and scalable data structures that align with business requirements and architectural standards. This senior role requires strategic thinking, proficiency in industry-leading tools, and a strong ability to collaborate with technical and business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models to support business intelligence, analytics, and operational systems.
- Collaborate with data architects, engineers, and business analysts to translate requirements into effective data designs.
- Implement and enforce data modeling standards, best practices, and governance frameworks.
- Lead the evaluation and adoption of Master Data Management (MDM) and data integration patterns.
- Manage metadata and ensure models are documented, versioned, and aligned with the overall data architecture.
- Provide expertise in data modeling tools – Erwin is mandatory.
- Mentor junior data modelers and contribute to the organization’s data strategy.
Required Experience & Skills:
- 10–12 years of experience in data modeling, with at least 4–5 years in enterprise or senior-level roles.
- Expertise in conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling.
- Mandatory proficiency with Erwin Data Modeler.
- Strong understanding of data architecture frameworks and metadata management.
- Experience with Master Data Management (MDM), data governance, and data integration patterns.
- Knowledge of relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL) and familiarity with cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in industries such as finance, healthcare, or e-commerce.
- Familiarity with data modeling in cloud environments (Azure Data Factory, AWS Redshift, Snowflake, etc.).
- Certification in data management (CDMP, CBIP) or related fields.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
