About the Role
As an AV Programmer at Oxford Systems Integration LLC, you will be responsible for the programming, configuration, and commissioning of AV control systems for a variety of commercial and corporate projects . You will be the technical expert who translates system designs into functional, user-friendly interfaces, ensuring that every component—from displays and audio processors to video conferencing and lighting controls—works together flawlessly .
This role requires a blend of software development skills and hands-on hardware integration experience. You will work closely with project engineers, design teams, and installation crews to finalize system functionality and ensure that every project meets the highest standards of performance and reliability .
Key Responsibilities
Programming & Configuration:
- Program and configure AV control systems, including Crestron, AMX, Extron, QSC, and Biamp platforms .
- Develop and upload control system code, graphical user interfaces (GUI), and custom device drivers to meet project specifications .
- Integrate and test AV systems, including displays, audio processors, video conferencing codecs, and lighting controls .
Commissioning & Testing:
- Conduct thorough system commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting at client sites to ensure optimal performance .
- Perform on-site verification of all programmed functions, ensuring they align with client expectations and company standards .
- Identify and resolve technical issues related to IP networking, audio DSPs, and AV signal flow .
Collaboration & Documentation:
- Work closely with project engineers and design teams to finalize AV system functionality and address any design modifications .
- Prepare comprehensive programming documentation, system configuration reports, and as-built drawings for handover to clients and internal teams .
- Collaborate with installation and commissioning teams to ensure smooth project completion and system sign-off .
Support & Maintenance:
- Provide remote and on-site technical support for system upgrades, troubleshooting, and end-user training .
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of AV hardware, software tools, and emerging industry trends to continuously improve programming practices .
Qualifications & Requirements
Education & Experience:
- Diploma or Degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field .
- Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in AV programming for commercial or corporate projects .
Technical Skills:
- Proven hands-on experience with Crestron, AMX, Extron, QSC, or Biamp control systems .
- Strong knowledge of IP networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DHCP, and VLANs .
- Deep understanding of audio DSP configuration, AV signal flow, and video conferencing standards .
- Familiarity with video conferencing platforms such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Cisco Telepresence is highly preferred .
Certifications (Preferred):
- Industry-recognized certification in any AV control platform (Crestron Certified Programmer, AMX ACE, Extron Certification) is a significant advantage .
