A leading organization in Dubai is seeking an experienced Cloud Architect to define and lead its cloud strategy and infrastructure. This is a senior role for a visionary professional with deep expertise in both AWS and Azure, responsible for building secure, scalable, and optimized multi-cloud environments.

About the Role:
As a Cloud Architect, you will be the technical authority for our cloud journey. You will design, implement, and manage robust cloud solutions across AWS and Azure, ensuring they are secure, compliant, cost-effective, and aligned with our strategic business objectives. This role requires a blend of deep technical expertise, strategic thinking, and leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design & Strategy: Lead the design and implementation of enterprise-grade cloud architectures on AWS and Azure. Define the overarching cloud strategy and roadmap.
- Migration Leadership: Architect and lead the migration of on-premises applications, data, and workloads to the cloud.
- Security & Governance: Define and enforce cloud security, governance, compliance frameworks, and identity management best practices.
- Optimization: Continuously optimize cloud environments for performance, reliability, resilience, and cost-efficiency.
- Technical Leadership: Collaborate with DevOps, development, and security teams to deliver end-to-end solutions. Mentor junior cloud engineers.
- Innovation: Evaluate and recommend emerging cloud technologies and services to drive innovation.
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive architecture designs, guidelines, and operational runbooks.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years in IT infrastructure, with at least 5 years specializing in cloud architecture.
- Proven, hands-on expertise with core AWS services (EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, Lambda, RDS, CloudFormation).
- Proven, hands-on expertise with core Azure services (Virtual Machines, Storage, Networking, Azure AD, Functions, SQL Database, ARM).
- Strong understanding of cloud security principles, identity management (IAM/AD), and compliance frameworks.
- Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or Azure ARM Templates.
- Experience designing high-availability, scalable, and fault-tolerant systems.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven experience operating in multi-cloud (AWS & Azure) environments.
Preferred Qualifications (Advantages):
- Certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional and/or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert. Cloud Architect Dubai AWS Azure.
- Hands-on experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker, AKS/EKS).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab).
- Experience with serverless architectures and microservices.
- Knowledge of cloud cost management tools (AWS Cost Explorer, Azure Cost Management).
- Project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2).
- Arabic language proficiency.
