A leading Irish contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a major, long-term civil engineering and utilities framework in the Dublin Region. This is a permanent, senior position offering the opportunity to work on critical infrastructure projects that shape the future of the region.

About the Role:
You will be a key commercial leader on a significant framework, responsible for managing all cost and contractual aspects of large-scale civil and utilities projects. This role demands strong commercial acumen, proven leadership, and deep experience in the Irish civil engineering market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide full commercial management and leadership on designated projects within the framework, from tender to final account.
- Prepare accurate cost estimates, budgets, and tender submissions for civil engineering and utilities packages.
- Manage subcontractor procurement, negotiation, appointment, and payment cycles.
- Conduct cost value reconciliations (CVRs), monitor project financial performance, and report on profitability.
- Administer contracts (primarily PW-CF6 & Public Works Contracts), ensuring compliance and managing variations, claims, and risk.
- Lead the preparation and agreement of interim valuations and final accounts with clients and subcontractors.
- Mentor and manage junior members of the commercial team.
- Ensure all commercial activities adhere to company procedures, health & safety standards, and legal requirements.
Required Experience & Qualifications:
- A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
- Minimum 8+ years of post-graduate experience, with a proven track record as a Senior QS on civil engineering and utilities projects in Ireland.
- In-depth experience with Irish public works contracts (PW-CF6 suite is essential) and a strong understanding of the utilities sector (water, wastewater, gas, telecoms, or electrical networks).
- Exceptional financial and commercial management skills, with proficiency in cost reporting and forecasting.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and work effectively within a project team.
- Full driving licence.
