Key Responsibilities
As a Logistics Officer at our Dubai headquarters, you will manage critical links in the supply chain. Your core duties will include the following key areas.
1. Shipment Coordination & Tracking:
- First, you will plan and coordinate the end-to-end movement of shipments via road, sea, and air.
- Furthermore, you will book freight with carriers, prepare shipping documents, and track consignments in real-time.
- Consequently, you will proactively resolve any delays or issues to ensure strict on-time delivery.
2. Client & Vendor Communication:
- You will serve as the main point of contact for clients, providing timely updates and professional service.
- Additionally, you will liaise with suppliers, warehouses, and transport partners to synchronize all activities.
- Moreover, you will handle customs clearance documentation in coordination with brokers, ensuring compliance.
3. Operational Efficiency & Administration:
- You will optimize routes and loads to improve cost-efficiency and resource utilization.
- You will also maintain accurate records and generate reports on key performance metrics.
- Finally, you will ensure all operations adhere to company policies and relevant safety regulations.
Requirements & Skills
To succeed as our Logistics Officer, you should possess a combination of practical experience and key soft skills.
Essential Experience & Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2-4 years of hands-on experience in a similar logistics or transport coordination role.
- Solid understanding of UAE freight corridors, customs procedures, and transport regulations.
- Proficiency in logistics software (e.g., ERP or TMS) and the Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel.
- A relevant diploma or degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Business is preferred.
Critical Competencies:
- Organizational & Analytical Skills: You can manage multiple shipments and data with high accuracy.
- Communication & Negotiation: You have excellent English communication skills for dealing with partners and clients. Knowledge of Arabic is advantageous.
- Problem-Solving Aptitude: You anticipate issues and implement effective solutions under pressure.
- Teamwork: You collaborate effectively with colleagues across departments to meet common goals.
