About the Role
As a Quality Control Engineer at Al Nadhar, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing the quality of our construction and engineering projects . You will be responsible for implementing quality control procedures, conducting inspections, and ensuring that all materials and workmanship comply with project specifications, approved drawings, and regulatory standards.
Working closely with project managers, site engineers, and contractors, you will be the guardian of our quality assurance process, identifying potential issues early and ensuring that every aspect of the project meets the highest benchmarks.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Assurance & Control:
- Develop and implement Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) for various project activities .
- Conduct regular inspections of materials, workmanship, and finished works to ensure compliance with project specifications, approved drawings, and applicable codes and standards .
- Monitor all stages of construction, from foundation to finishing, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Prepare and maintain detailed quality control reports, inspection requests, and non-conformance reports (NCRs) .
- Review material submittals and technical submittals for compliance with project requirements.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of all quality control activities for project records and client handover.
Coordination & Communication:
- Coordinate with consultants and clients for inspections and approvals of completed works .
- Liaise with site engineers and project managers to resolve quality issues and ensure corrective actions are implemented promptly.
- Participate in quality meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Compliance & Standards:
- Ensure all project activities comply with local authority regulations (e.g., Dubai Municipality, DM, Trakhees) and international standards (ISO, ASTM, BS) .
- Stay updated on the latest quality standards, building codes, and industry best practices.
- Promote a culture of quality and safety across all project sites.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline .
Experience:
- Minimum of 3-6 years of experience in quality control engineering within the construction industry in the UAE .
- Experience working on building projects, infrastructure projects, or MEP works is highly preferred.
Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of quality control procedures, Inspection Test Plans (ITPs), and material testing standards.
- Familiarity with UAE construction regulations and approval processes (DM, Trakhees, etc.).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and quality management software.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
