About the Role

Key Responsibilities
Regulatory Compliance:
- Monitor and interpret relevant laws, regulations, and guidelines issued by UAE Central Bank, DFSA, and other regulatory bodies .
- Ensure the bank’s policies, procedures, and practices comply with all applicable regulatory requirements .
- Assist in preparing and submitting regulatory reports and returns accurately and on time .
Risk Assessment & Monitoring:
- Conduct regular compliance risk assessments to identify potential areas of vulnerability .
- Monitor business activities, transactions, and customer relationships for compliance with AML/CFT regulations .
- Investigate alerts and suspicious activities, preparing suspicious transaction reports (STRs) as necessary .
Policy Development & Implementation:
- Develop, review, and update compliance policies and procedures to reflect regulatory changes and industry best practices .
- Communicate policy changes to relevant stakeholders and ensure proper implementation across the organization .
Training & Awareness:
- Develop and deliver compliance training programs to employees, fostering a culture of compliance and ethical behavior .
- Serve as a point of contact for compliance-related queries from business units .
Audit & Remediation:
- Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and responding to inquiries .
- Track and monitor remediation of compliance issues identified through audits or reviews .
Qualifications & Requirements
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field .
- Professional certifications such as CAMS, ICA Diploma in Compliance, or CISI are highly preferred .
- Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in compliance, AML, or risk management within the banking or financial services sector .
Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of UAE regulatory framework, including Central Bank regulations and AML/CFT laws .
- Experience with compliance monitoring systems and transaction monitoring tools .
- Understanding of KYC/CDD procedures and sanctions screening processes .
- Familiarity with international compliance standards and best practices .
Personal Attributes:
- High level of integrity and ethical judgment with commitment to confidentiality .
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail .
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to influence stakeholders at all levels .
- Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment .
- Fluency in English (spoken and written). Arabic language skills are a strong advantage .
