About the Role
Are you a versatile engineer who understands how buildings truly function? Do you have expertise in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems that bring structures to life? We are seeking a skilled and experienced MEP Engineer to join our engineering team in Dubai .
MEP systems are the heart of any modern building, ensuring comfort, safety, and efficiency. In this role, you will design, coordinate, and oversee the installation of MEP systems for a variety of projects, including commercial towers, residential communities, and hospitality developments .

Key Responsibilities
MEP Design & Coordination:
- Design mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems including HVAC, lighting, power distribution, fire protection, water supply, and drainage .
- Prepare detailed design calculations, drawings, specifications, and material submittals .
- Coordinate MEP services with architectural and structural elements to resolve clashes and ensure integration .
Project Management & Supervision:
- Oversee MEP installation works on site, ensuring compliance with design drawings, specifications, and quality standards .
- Review contractor shop drawings, method statements, and material submittals for approval .
- Monitor project progress and coordinate with contractors, consultants, and stakeholders .
Testing & Commissioning:
- Develop and oversee testing and commissioning procedures for MEP systems .
- Verify system performance and functionality, ensuring compliance with design intent .
- Prepare commissioning reports and handover documentation .
Compliance & Standards:
- Ensure all MEP designs comply with UAE building codes, Dubai Municipality regulations, DEWA guidelines, and international standards .
- Stay updated on sustainable design practices and energy efficiency requirements (e.g., Al Sa’fat, Estidama) .
Qualifications & Requirements
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field .
- Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in MEP engineering, design, and project coordination within the UAE .
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in MEP design software such as AutoCAD MEP, Revit MEP, or BIM 360 .
- Strong knowledge of HVAC load calculation software (HAP, Trace) and electrical design tools (ETAP, Dialux) .
- Understanding of DEWA, DM, and Civil Defense regulations and approval processes .
- Familiarity with sustainable design practices and green building certifications .
Certifications (Preferred):
- Professional Engineering license (PE, CEng, or equivalent) .
- LEED AP or similar sustainability certification .
Personal Attributes:
- Strong technical knowledge across mechanical, electrical, and plumbing disciplines .
- Excellent coordination and communication skills for interdisciplinary collaboration .
- Problem-solving mindset with ability to address site issues effectively .
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality .
- Fluency in English (spoken and written). Arabic language skills are a plus .
