About the Role

Are you a networking expert with a talent for keeping complex infrastructures running smoothly and securely? We are seeking a skilled and proactive Network Administrator to join our IT infrastructure team in Dubai .

In this critical role, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and security of our organization’s network infrastructure. You will ensure high availability, optimal performance, and robust security across all LAN, WAN, wireless, and cloud network environments .

Key Responsibilities

Network Infrastructure Management:

• Configure, deploy, and maintain network equipment including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and wireless controllers (Cisco, Fortinet, Juniper, Aruba) .
• Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize traffic flow to ensure high availability and low latency .
• Manage VLANs, VPNs, DNS, DHCP, and IP address allocation across the enterprise .
• Implement and maintain software-defined networking (SDN) solutions where applicable .

Network Security:

• Configure and manage firewall policies, access control lists (ACLs), and intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS) .
• Monitor network for security threats and anomalies, responding promptly to incidents .
• Ensure network security compliance with industry standards and organizational policies .
• Conduct regular network security assessments and vulnerability scans .

Monitoring & Documentation:

• Implement and maintain network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios) to proactively identify issues .
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date network diagrams, device inventories, and configuration documentation .
• Track and manage network capacity and plan for future growth requirements .

Troubleshooting & Support:

• Provide tier 2/3 support for network-related incidents escalated from the IT help desk .
• Troubleshoot complex network issues involving routing, switching, wireless, and connectivity .
• Coordinate with internet service providers and vendors for circuit provisioning and issue resolution .

Qualifications & Requirements

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related field .
• Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in network administration or network engineering roles .

Technical Skills:

• Strong hands-on experience with enterprise networking hardware (Cisco IOS/NX-OS, Fortinet, Juniper, or Aruba) .
• Deep understanding of routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP) and switching technologies (STP, VLANs, EtherChannel) .
• Experience with firewall technologies (FortiGate, Palo Alto, Cisco ASA) and VPN configurations .
• Knowledge of wireless networking standards and controllers .
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools and diagnostic techniques .

Certifications (Highly Preferred):

• Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, Fortinet NSE, or JNCIA .

Personal Attributes:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a methodical approach to troubleshooting .
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders .
• Proactive mindset with attention to detail and commitment to network reliability .
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team .
• Fluency in English (spoken and written). Arabic language skills are a plus .
